This will be the first major concert at the Glass Bowl since July 1, 1994, when the Beach Boys and America took the stage.
“We are thrilled to host the inaugural JobsOhio Glass City Live at the Glass Bowl,” said University of Toledo Interim President Matt Schroeder. “As the regional force powering opportunities to learn, care, work and play, UToledo is a destination and we are excited to welcome visitors to our amazing campus. With seating for more than 25,000 music fans, the Glass Bowl is the perfect venue to create unforgettable memories, and we can’t wait to see it come alive with music and energy. This is more than a concert — it’s a celebration of our city, our University and the power to do what brings people together.”
“Hosting Zac Brown Band for our inaugural Glass City Live summer concert is a transformational moment for The University of Toledo and our entire NW Ohio community,” said Vice President and Director of Athletics Bryan B. Blair. “On this Memorial Day weekend, Glass City Live will not only celebrate the incredible talent of A-list performers but also pay tribute to the brave veterans who have sacrificed so much for our country. This is more than a concert — it’s a celebration of music, community and the heroes who have served our nation.
“As the largest outdoor entertainment venue in Northwest Ohio, the Glass Bowl is the perfect stage to kick off what we envision as an annual event featuring world-class entertainment. Concerts in football stadiums are a growing trend across the nation. Glass City Live will pack over 25,000 fans in the iconic Glass Bowl, eliminating the need for our community to travel to other locales for these memorable experiences. We’re proud to partner with JAC Management, an Ohio-based company, to offer an experience that rivals any major city, right here in our own backyard, and shine a spotlight on everything Toledo, Ohio, has to offer.”
“We are thrilled to bring the first ever major concert to the historic Glass Bowl Stadium. In collaboration with The University of Toledo and UT athletics, we will make history with the creation of Glass City Live that will have long-lasting impacts on Toledo and the entire region,” said Eric Ryan, president and CEO of JAC Live.
JobsOhio’s Glass City Live would not be possible without presenting sponsors that include: Hometown Heroes, NÜRTL, The University of Toledo and UToledo Health.
