University Libraries will host a special lecture, “Populism Unleashed,” on Thursday, March 13, at 3 p.m. in the Main Event Space Room 1005.
Dr. Paul Hong, a Distinguished University Professor in the Department of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management in the John B. and Lillian E. Neff College of Business and Innovation, will examine the key forces fueling the global eruption of new populist movements and their lasting impact on leadership, governance and global stability. This lecture coincides with the release of his book “Encyclopedia of New Populism and Responses in the 21st Century.”
Joining him will be panelists Dr. Margaret “Miggy” Hopkins, a recently retired professor of management; Dr. Stephen Callaway, an associate professor of management; Dr. Heba Abdel-Rahim, an associate professor and chair of the Department of Accounting; Dr. Euisung Jung, an assistant professor in the Department of Information, Operations and Technology Management; Dr. Benjamin George, an assistant professor in the Department of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management; Dr. Fred Ahrens, an assistant lecturer in the Department of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management; and Dr. Blaine Stout, an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management, who will share their insights on populism drawing from their respective research.
