Senior Inma Zanoguera and the Rockets will play Wright State in a first-round game of the WNIT Tournament Friday, March 20, in Savage Arena.

The winner of Friday’s contest will take on the winner of the Cleveland State at Michigan game Saturday-Monday, March 21-24. Sites and times for the second round will be released at a later date.

UT is one of 32 at-large qualifiers in this year’s event and one of six Mid-American Conference representatives — along with Akron, Ball State, Buffalo, Eastern Michigan and Western Michigan — in the 64-team field.

Toledo will be appearing in the Postseason WNIT for a fifth time under seventh-year Head Coach Tricia Cullop and the 10th time overall.

Two years ago, the Rockets advanced to the Sweet 16 of the Postseason WNIT with home victories against Butler, 63-49 (March 21) and Youngstown State, 61-43 (March 23). UT’s season came to an end with a 63-55 home setback against Illinois (March 28).

Toledo enters the post-season with an 18-13 overall record and a 10-8 league ledger to finish fourth in the MAC West Division. The Rockets defeated Miami in the first round of the MAC Tournament, 62-47, March 9 before falling to eventual tourney finalist Eastern Michigan in the second round, 74-57, March 11.

Senior Inma Zanoguera, freshman Jay-Ann Bravo-Harriott and junior Brenae Harris lead Toledo offensively, scoring 15.5, 10.2 and 9.5 points per game, respectively. Zanoguera earned first-team All-MAC honors, while Harris captured honorable mention accolades and Bravo-Harriott was tabbed the MAC Freshman of the Year.

Tickets for Friday’s first-round game will be $15 for adults and $7.50 for children for reserved seats (all seats in the lower bowl) and $12 for adults and $6 for children for general admission (all seats in the upper level). Tickets will go on sale at 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, in the UT Ticket Office or by calling 419.530.GOLD (4653).

Parking for the contest will follow the regular-season guidelines. Within the season-parking pass booklet, Rocket Fund Donors and fans may find a post-season parking pass that will provide free parking for the appropriate areas displayed on the pass. The general admission parking will be $5 per car upon entering campus for the general admission parking areas. Handicapped parking will be in area 18 with shuttle service.

Also, the Joe Grogan Room will be open to Rocket Fund donors.
