Reminder: UToledo Research Celebration Scheduled for Wednesday

The University of Toledo will celebrate its status among the country’s top-tier research universities during a Research Celebration on Wednesday, April 2.

The event runs 3 to 5 p.m. in Savage Arena, with a brief program beginning at 3:30 p.m.

Promotional graphic announcing that The University of Toledo will celebrate its status among the country’s top-tier research universities during a Research Celebration on Wednesday, April 2, from 3-5 p.m. in Savage Arena.Faculty and student researchers will showcase their innovative work through poster presentations and interactive table displays, offering attendees opportunities to marvel at star-splashed images of galaxies captured by the James Webb Space Telescope, learn about the latest efforts to address harmful algal blooms in western Lake Erie, check out a new makeup foundation under development by cosmetic scientists in the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and much more.

The event celebrates UToledo’s prestigious Carnegie R1 Classification announced in February. UToledo is one of only 187 higher education institutions recognized for very high research activity by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education.

Free visitor parking is available beginning at 2:30 p.m. in several parking areas near Savage Arena, including areas 1N, 1S, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10 and 18.
