Rockets’ Annual Spring Game April 9 at Glass Bowl

The Toledo Rockets will hold their annual spring football game at the Glass Bowl on Saturday, April 9, at noon.

Admission is free and gates will open at 11 a.m. Fans may enter through Gate A on the west side of the stadium. Free parking will be available in Parking Areas 9 and 10 (lots immediately north and south of the stadium).

The Rockets open their 2022 season with a pair of non-conference home games vs. Long Island (Sept. 3) and UMass (Sept. 10) before hitting the road to play at Ohio State (Sept. 17) and at San Diego State (Sept. 24). The Mid-American Conference season opens with a Homecoming battle at the Glass Bowl vs. Central Michigan on Oct. 1. Rocket fans will also be circling Nov. 15 on their calendars when Battle of I-75 rival Bowling Green comes to town.

Among the starters returning from last season’s squad are five players who earned All-MAC honors in 2021: senior outside linebacker Jamal Hines, senior defensive tackle Desjuan Johnson, junior wide receiver/return specialist Devin Maddox, senior linebacker Dyontae Johnson and sophomore safety Maxen Hook. Two All-MAC players from previous seasons are also back, junior offensive lineman Nick Rosi (2019) and junior safety Nate Bauer (2020).
