Multiple graduate programs at The University of Toledo have again been ranked among the best in the nation by U.S. News and World Report.

UToledo’s nationally ranked graduate programs in the 2024 Best Graduate Schools rankings, released today, are education, part- and full-time law, part-time M.B.A., nursing masters, occupational therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, public health, social work and speech language pathology.

Of UToledo’s ranked graduate programs by U.S. News and World Report, physical therapy along with speech language pathology and education made the biggest jumps up in this year’s rankings.

U.S. News plans to announce rankings for graduate clinical psychology, engineering and medical programs at a later date.

“We are pleased with the University’s continued positive momentum, particularly within our professional programs,” said Dr. Scott Molitor, interim provost and executive president for academic affairs. “We know the high quality of graduate education we provide to students at UToledo, and this recognition from U.S. News reflects our commitment to student success.”

The rankings are based on two types of data: expert opinion about program excellence and statistical indicators that measure the quality of a school’s faculty, research and students.

Of UToledo’s ranked graduate programs, speech language pathology, physical therapy and education increased the most in this year’s rankings.

Last fall, UToledo moved up five spots in the overall 2024 Best Colleges rankings after being recognized in 2022 for the first time among ranked schools. UToledo currently is ranked 280 out of 436 participating universities.

UToledo also has moved up the rankings of the top online bachelor’s degree programs in the country, jumping 35 spots to No. 115 and putting the University in the top third of all ranked online programs.
