The University of Toledo will hold its Earth Fest Thursday, April 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Centennial Mall.
Hosted by the student organization Building Ohio’s Sustainable Energy Future, the event is a celebration of Earth Day and the environmental initiatives lead by UToledo students.
Activities include:
• Free food from Leaf and Seed vegan food truck;
• Clothes swap and donation;
• Free sustainable giveaways and plants;
• A grocery bag swap;
• Plant pong; and
• Sustainability education and information.
The event also will feature representatives from local businesses and organizations: Building Ohio’s Sustainable Energy Future; First Solar; Tree Toledo; the Student Green Fund; city of Toledo Division of Environmental Services; Honors College; UToledo Garden; Outdoor Sylvania Community Parks; Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful; Lucas Soil and Water Conservation District; Partners for Clean Streams; Glass City Community Solar; Rocket Dining; and Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
