The University of Toledo softball program had five student-athletes named to the College Sport Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization recently announced.
Eli Enriquez, Sidney Griffith, Eliza Maloney, Madison McKay and Kendra VanderLugt earned the academic honor. Enriquez, Griffith and VanderLugt were named to the All-District Team for the second time while Maloney and McKay are first-time honorees.
Griffith and VanderLugt graduated in May 2024. Griffith earned her degree in human resource management with a 3.955 GPA while VanderLugt graduated with a degree in early childhood education and a 3.968 GPA.
Enriquez carries a 3.797 GPA as a management major, Maloney has a 4.00 GPA as a health sciences major while McKay boats a 3.949 GPA as a speech language pathology major.
VanderLugt will move to the ballot for Academic All-America. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on Tuesday, June 17.
The 2025 Academic All-District Softball Team recognized the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performance on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes nominees in four divisions – NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III and NAIA.
