The Power To Do brand was created in partnership with BVK, a Milwaukee-based marketing firm. Launched in July, the new brand brought together for the first time under the same marketing framework both UToledo’s academic mission and its UToledo Health clinical mission to highlight the institution’s transformational impact on the community.

“Our UToledo Health team includes so many leaders in their specialties who provide the highest quality care to members of our community and do so with such compassion. We heard that loud and clear from our patients when building this brand, and we are thrilled to be able to tell that story to a broader audience through The Power To Do campaign, ” said Meghan Cunningham, vice president for marketing and communications. “It is rewarding to see our branding efforts recognized by the healthcare advertising industry.”

In November, The Power To Do was honored with multiple awards at the 2024 Education Digital Marketing Awards, including gold in six categories, and in March, UToledo earned 11 total awards, including gold in seven categories, at the 40th Annual Educational Advertising Awards and received bronze from the Toledo American Advertising Federation for its 30-second commercial.

Based in Atlanta, the Healthcare Advertising Awards is a national competition that recognizes the field of healthcare marketing and advertising, including print ads, websites, digital content, communications and media.
