For the fourth-annual Employer Rocket Retreat, UToledo Career Services, Shah Center for Engineering Career Development and Business Career Programs partnered to bring employers from multiple industries together to network, discuss trends and stay engaged with The University of Toledo community.
Scheduled virtually on Microsoft Teams, the Summer Employer Rocket Retreat is Thursday, July 21, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and is expected to include employers connected directly to UToledo academic programs in aerospace, construction, business, education, engineering, environmental services, healthcare, hospitality, government, non-profit and technology.
“We look forward to this event every year as it provides an excellent opportunity for the UToledo career offices and employers to touch base on a wide range of timely topics,” said Shelly Drouillard, director of Career Services. “These kinds of conversations are crucial for us to work collaboratively with employers to address current and future workforce needs.”
Archie Heinl, a two-time UToledo alumnus, will give the keynote address at the Summer Employer Rocket Retreat. The president of Double A Solutions, LLC, Heinl, along with his team, will be covering their strategies and successes in overcoming hiring challenges and supporting a hybrid work model.
Following the keynote, employers will have the opportunity to attend breakout sessions to delve deeper into the topics of recruitment and retention strategies, hiring international students and coaching Rockets for career success.
