The Edward C. and Helen G. Schmakel Homecoming Parade is quickly approaching and so is the deadline to join the parade.
Sponsored by the Blue Key National Honor Society, the Homecoming Parade is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1. This year’s theme, Rockets Flashback, is part of the University’s yearlong sesquicentennial celebration.
UToledo students who are part of an organization can participate in the Homecoming Parade by walking, riding in a car or truck, or having a float in the parade. For organizations interested in participating, fill out the “2022 Homecoming Parade Registration Form” available via Invonet.
Students not affiliated with an organization can participate in the Homecoming Parade by joining the General Student Section.
“Homecoming is one of UT’s oldest and most beloved traditions. Participating in the parade is an experience unlike any other that you will have here at The University of Toledo,” said Jonathan Kopacz, president of the Arx Chapter of Blue Key National Honor Society. “We hope that you strongly consider joining us for this momentous event.”
