UToledo’s Rocket Career Center is partnering with the Colleges of Arts and Letters, Natural Sciences and Mathematics and Health and Human Services to host the DiscoverHEALTH: Community and Behavioral Health and Wellness Career Fair on Friday, Sept. 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Thompson Student Union Auditorium.

This event is designed to connect UToledo students from a variety of majors with employers in fields such as healthcare operations, mental health services, environmental and occupational safety, public health and wellness programs.

Companies set to attend include American Red Cross, Bittersweet Farms, Boys and Girls Club of Toledo, Clean Water Action-Michigan, Dayton Children’s Hospital, Harbor, Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities, National Park Service, ProMedica, Wood County Hospital and many others that will be actively recruiting for full-time, part-time and internship positions.

“We are particularly excited to launch this new niche career fair,” said Shelly Drouillard, the director of the Rocket Career Center. “It addresses the needs of students in public health and other helping professions who haven’t previously had this kind of opportunity to network with employers in the past.”

Students from all majors are encouraged to attend with a focus on those studying  anthropology, biology, counseling, data analytics, environmental sciences, exercise science, health science, public health, psychology and social work. Participating companies will be on-site to network with students and discuss opportunities to start or advance their careers in these critical areas.

The DiscoverHEALTH Career Fair is part of the Rocket Career Center’s ongoing commitment to supporting students’ career exploration and success.
