UToledo Health will host its second annual community trunk-or-treat on Saturday, Oct. 19.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held from 3:30 to 5 p.m. outside the Eleanor N. Dana Cancer Center on UToledo’s Health Science Campus.
Visitors can expect about 40 stations staffed by UToledo Health employees handing out sweet treats and other goodies. Kids — and adults — are encouraged to come in costume for the family-friendly event.
“Our employees have really embraced this and we saw a wonderful turnout from the community last year,” said Tara Parker, director of customer service at UTMC. “Community engagement is an important initiative for us, and we’re thrilled to bring this event back for its second year.”
Rocky and Rocksy will be on hand, as well representatives from Rocket Athletics.
Free parking will be available in Area 46, which is located near the Glendale Avenue entrance off East Medical Loop.
There are still opportunities for employees across both campuses to participate with a trunk or to donate candy. The deadline to sign up is Wednesday.
Individuals interested in taking part can contact Parker at 383.3520 or tara.parker@utoledo.edu.
