To help launch November’s 2022 annual UToledo Cares Charitable Giving Campaign, The University of Toledo is hosting an inaugural pre-kickoff event Tuesday, Oct. 25.

Scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the first floor of Carlson Library Room 1005, the Wellness Dash will be focused on health and well-being in keeping with this year’s campaign theme, “UToledo Cares About Your Health and Wellbeing.”

The Farmers Market will be on Centennial Mall from 11 a.m. to noon for UToledo employees to take advantage of healthy produce options during their lunch hour.

“The UToledo Cares Charitable Giving Campaign is an important way to give back to the Toledo-area community and those who are in need, which is why we are having the kickoff event for the first time,” said Valerie Simmons-Walston, special assistant to the president for Community Engagement and Strategic Partnerships. “The Wellness Dash is designed to heighten awareness regarding the 2022 Employee Charitable Giving Campaign, invite our community, students, staff and faculty to a fun event, and to support a culture of health and well-being at UToledo.”

Four important dates aligned with the 2022 employee charitable giving campaign:

•  Tuesday, Oct. 25, Wellness Dash and inaugural pre-kickoff event

•  Wednesday, Nov. 9, E-Pledge Kickoff Event.

•  Friday, Dec. 9, Deadline to submit pledge form.
