October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month and The University of Toledo is continuing its Dialogues on Diversity series with a conversation about employment and disability.
The virtual event will take place 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, on Webex.
Lisa Yost, assistant director of the UToledo Office of Accessibility and Disability Resources, will moderate the event.
Panelists include:
• Shelly Drouillard, director of UToledo Career Services;
• Kris Wray, career development specialist with Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities, the state agency that empowers Ohioans with disabilities through employment, disability determinations and independence;
• La’Tarsha Cook, community influencer, advocate and co-owner of Blessdfriendzz; and
• Tinola Mayfield-Guerrero, senior vocational rehabilitation counselor with the state of Ohio’s College2Careers program.
