The University of Toledo Department of Theatre and Film will present the comedy “Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some!)” at the Center for Performing Arts Center Theatre from Nov. 13-23.
Dr. Matt Foss, a professor in the Department of Theatre and Film, directs the production that promises a fresh twist on holiday classics. It follows an ensemble of actors that declines an umpteenth staging of Charles Dickens in favor of their own blend of beloved holiday tales, traditions from around the world and iconic seasonal figures from ancient times to modern pop culture plus every carol ever sung.
“Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some!)” is written by Michael Carleton, James Fitzgerald and John K. Alvarez.
Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $10 to $25 and can be purchased online through the UToledo Tix website or at the box office before the performance. Student tickets are free with a Rocket ID.
A community and campus preview performance is free at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13.
Visitor parking is free only for the Saturday and Sunday performances, excluding reserved, disabled and metered spaces. Parking for Thursday and Friday performances requires payment through the ParkMobile app, a parking meter or a daily permit via ParkUToledo. Visit the ParkUToledo website for more information.
