Retired Maj. Carolyn Nagy of the U.S. Army Nurse Corps will share the story of her military career during Desert Shield/Desert Storm on Thursday, Nov. 10.
In her presentation titled “Military Life in Desert Storm,” Nagy will discuss her experiences as the assistant chief nurse of a 400-bed evacuation hospital in Saudi Arabia, including hospital construction and function in a foreign country, dealing with cultural differences and the issues faced by female soldiers — past and present.
There will be a Q&A session following her presentation.
The event begins at 1 p.m. in Carlson Library Room 1005.
