Keith Nelson Jr. and Kennedy Copeland, both representing the National Pan-Hellenic Council, were selected as the 2022 Homecoming King and Queen and crowned during halftime of Saturday's football game.

Headlined by Grammy-winning rapper T-Pain, the free concert is scheduled from 5 to 10:20 p.m. Oct. 12 in Savage Arena. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. with a maximum capacity of 4,000 people on a first-come, first-served basis.

Saturday morning’s Edward C. and Helen G. Schmakel Homecoming Parade, themed Rockets Flashback as part of The University of Toledo’s sesquicentennial celebration, kicked off a day of festivities, capped by the Rockets victory over Central Michigan, 38-17.

In honor of Saturday’s Homecoming, we look back to this float circa 1970. As we celebrate UToledo’s sesquicentennial this year, we’re also approaching the centennial of our first Homecoming in 1924 when the Rockets played the then-named Bowling Green Normal School.
